The UC Berkeley Chapter is our newest external affiliated site, bringing the Autism Sports Foundation’s “Every Child Plays” model north to the Bay Area. Built on the same research-backed approach that started at UCSD, this chapter offers free, weekly flag football and soccer sessions for children on the autism spectrum, led by UC Berkeley student volunteers.
As our first chapter outside San Diego, UC Berkeley represents the next step in ASF’s growth proof that our model can travel beyond its founding community and take root anywhere there are volunteers and families ready to build it together.
Every UC Berkeley Chapter session is built around structure, encouragement, and genuine connection — designed so every child, regardless of ability, can participate fully.
Weekly 90-minute flag football and soccer practices led by trained UC Berkeley student volunteers, focused on coordination, teamwork, and confidence.
Neurotypical siblings and peers join in as role models, helping foster natural, supportive friendships on and off the court or field.
